Biographies become increasingly difficult to write as one generation passes. I had the opportunity to serve Rev. Yoo Jae-gi, and I witnessed his work and later part of his life. However, even with all the information I gathered from his friends and family, I felt that I was only able to get a portion of his life story.
I tried to write it in a way that would be easy for everyone to understand and would convey his message. I hope that future research will produce a more complete and accurate biography of Rev. Yoo. I would like to thank Kim Sun-mok for his hard work in organizing the publication of this book.

Joo Tae-ik (1918-1976) was a South Korean playwright. His works often dealt with the themes of human and religious issues, and depicted the emptiness of pleasure¹²³. Some of his notable works include "Star," "Santa Claus's Gift," "Snowy Night," and "Life is Like a Spring" ¹. He graduated from the Pyongyang Theological Seminary in 1940 and managed the Baekhap Nursery in 1942 after completing his pre-college course ¹. In 1947, he began editing Christian magazines, including the "Heungguk Times," and started writing plays and radio dramas in 1948 ¹. He served as the vice-chairman of the Broadcasting Writers Association in 1964, the chairman of the Christian Literature Association in 1968, and a broadcasting ethics committee member in 1971 ¹. His debut work was the play "Fragrance," which was performed on the central stage of a theater troupe. His other works include "Star," "Santa Claus's Gift," "Snowy Night," and "Life is Like a Spring," and his play collections include "Fragrance," "Life is Like a Spring," "Christmas Play Script," "This is Life," and "Rural Play Script" ¹. His works often depicted the emptiness of pleasure by focusing on human and religious issues ¹.
